WORLD BBS WAS FOUNDED ON DECEMBER 1991 IN A POTATO FIELD SOMEWHERE DEEP INSIDE

Wildcat! 5 system is installed here. Spud's World BBS has been
around for 12 years. Spud's World went online for the first time in December
1991thanks to the influence of MARK MITTELSTAEDT. Started running WildCat thanks
to the hard work of Richard Bongiovanni of the old mail box bbs. The board ran
on an 386 DX 40, 20 gig hard drive and a 9600 baud modem back then, now its
running a two PIII 1000 Copermine CPU's Windows 2000 Server with 1 gig of ram.
Spud's World is hooked up to the Internet thru Power Web and a link to a cable
modem and one dial-up connection. I have switched my operating software four
times. Lets see we ran renegade, PC Board and a few others. With the WildCat
sever we will be able to expand Spud's World when the need arises. I can
accommodate up to 16 Connections at the present time and the software gives me
the ability to go way past that. The software is 32 bit and it will run under
Windows 98, XP or Windows 2000. This is another plus because it makes it easy to
run several programs at one time. Its much faster than running under dos or
windows 3.1. There have been many change to the board since its ANSI days. The
Board is up on the Internet 24 HRS a day seven days a week. We are a family
oriented board so if your looking for Porn go somewhere else.

Spud's World is a WildCat 5.0 BBS. If you use WildCat Navigator you can log on to the BBS and see the new graphical look. Its like a mini America Online. The BBS is still a
free access board. That's right you don't have to pay to get access to this BBS. All we ask of you is to return a
registration form to continue access. Your access will be good for 90 days then you will have to
resend another registration form to continue your access ( Yes, this is a pain in the A__ but
maybe you will donate). For a small donation you can have your access increased, read the registration text for more information.
This is a family board, NO PORN or crap like that will be allowed. No Copyrighted Software is allowed on the BBS.
We carry a good selection of Shareware to keep your interest, over 100 GIGS online. We are adding new games for you
